The way we do business
PLACING AN ORDER or commissioning work from Modus Operandi will be regarded as an acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Consulting and support services
Modus Operandi requires that an initial half-day fee or 50 percent of a quoted fee (less disbursements) is payable in advance.
Invoices will be issued on completion of work, errors and omissions excepted. Standard credit terms are payment in full within seven days of invoice.
Work carried out overnight (according to time zones identified and agreed when the commission is accepted) will be charged at twice the agreed standard hourly rate.
Modus Operandi offer a 30 per cent discount for registered not-for-profits or charities on production of suitable production of registration if invoices are paid within credit terms and by the commissioning body. Such discounts are not transferable to subsidiary trading companies and/or material for their internet sites.
Modus Operandi cannot be held liable in anyway for the material or its interpretation which is subsequently published by a client. Legal advice should be sought where appropriate.

Rates
Please contact us for details of our rates. These vary according to the nature and duration of any assignment.
Transport and disbursements
Travel will be charged at first class rail or business class air fare rates, with taxi transfers. (We reserve the right to delay confirmation of travel arrangements until such expenses have been invoiced and fully settled before departure.)
Subsistence will be charged at (US) $395 or (UK) £275 per day and (US) $625 or (UK) £325 per overnight stay.
Hourly rates and disbursements will be charged for all time away from Modus Operandi office bases.
On-line expenses, telephone, fax and mailing will be charged at cost, plus a handling fee of 20 percent.
All rates quoted are exclusive of applicable local taxes and other fees.
We reserve the right to amend our rates and charges as necessary.
